Sometimes plans change. The owners of a beachfront apartment in Surfers Paradise found they could no longer use it as a holiday home, and they needed to switch gears and find long-term tenants instead.
Why the owners moved from a holiday home to long-term tenants
It’s a seriously luxurious apartment, right on the sand. The building has a concierge desk that can organise a chef to cook for you and your friends in the private kitchen and dining room, plus pools, spas, gyms, a sauna and a wet room.
After a few open days and private inspections, we found a lovely couple who were downsizing and simplifying their life. They no longer mow a yard or hand-ball salt into their own pool. They spend their spare time enjoying the amenities downstairs.
A good result for the owners and the tenants
The owners are happy too. The couple plan to retire there one day, but for now they’re looking after the apartment like it’s their own, and the owners know someone is enjoying it.
